Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thoi Trung

Director, Institute for Computational Science & Artificial Intelligence (COSARI), Van Lang University, Vietnam

Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thoi Trung received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 2010 with a Best PhD Thesis Award. He is Director of the Institute for Computational Science & Artificial Intelligence (COSARI), Van Lang University.

His research interests include computational mechanics, structural optimization, reliability analysis, structural health monitoring and artificial intelligence. He has served on the Scientific Council of Vietnam’s National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) in Mechanics and Engineering, and held the Bualuang ASEAN Chair Professor research award at the Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University, Thailand, for 2022–2024.

Prof. David Bassir is a professor and researcher specializing in structural optimization, composite materials, parameter identification, additive manufacturing and multiscale modelling. He holds MSc and PhD degrees in structural optimization from the University of Franche-Comté. His career has combined academia, research management, science diplomacy and engineering, including positions as Dean at the University of Lorraine, Science and Technology Consul at the French Embassy in China, General Director of Research at ESTP–ENSAM, and spacecraft engineer working with organizations including Arianespace and Astrium. He has also served as a visiting professor at institutions including TU Delft, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, the University of Oviedo, MIT and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and has authored more than 120 scientific publications.

Prof. Jaafar Gaber received his PhD from the University of Lille I in 1998 and is a researcher at the FEMTO-ST Institute (CNRS) and the University of Technology of Belfort-Montbéliard (UTBM), where he is affiliated with the DISC department and OMNI team. Before joining UTBM, he worked as a research scientist at the Institute of Computational Sciences and Informatics at George Mason University in the United States. His research focuses on modern distributed and intelligent systems, including artificial intelligence, Big Data, Internet of Things, reconfigurable and embedded computing, programmable matter, and distributed and parallel algorithms. His work has been supported by European and industrial research projects, and he is a member of IEEE and ACM.

Assoc. Prof. Hai Canh Vu

University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC), France

Assoc. Prof. Hai Canh Vu is an Associate Professor in reliability engineering and industrial data science at the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC), France. His research lies at the intersection of reliability, maintenance optimization, Prognostics and Health Management (PHM), and artificial intelligence for industrial systems. He develops machine-learning and deep-learning approaches for fault detection, remaining useful life prediction and decision support, with applications including rotating machinery, energy systems and automotive systems. His research also addresses maintenance planning for complex multi-component systems and the integration of prognostic information into maintenance and operational decision-making.
